What Do You Do When a Hurricane Comes Your Way?

I Think His Tractor is Sexy-HA!

We have a great big fun yard...but after 6 months of Marc mowing the yard with a push mower he was ready for a riding mower. :) The heat had been horrible and it took him a good 4 hours to push mow the yard...taking away so much family time on the weekends! Some great friends of ours gave us a great deal on this snazy mower. HOWEVER, it took 3 weeks to get it up and running properly. BUT (drum roll please)...it is working great and it only took him ONE HOUR to do the yard!

Concerts!

There is a FABULOUS Military Apprication Concert program here! Every month or so the base gives away free tickets to great concerts. San Antonio is a wonderful military town who takes great care of us!

My friend Angela and I went to Martina McBride together...left the daddy's at home to take care of the kiddos! :)

Last week we went to a Tim McGraw concert at Fort Sam Houston (the army post). SO fun! No, Faith didn't show up... :)

Funny story...Tim was talking on stage and the military guys were throwing their name tags up to him and he was thanking them for all they do and then all of a sudden someone gave him a prosthetic hand and he says, "What the hell?" kinda freaked out like. Then it clicked and he said, "WOW, thank you for your sacrifice" then he signed it and gave it back!

Biker Babe

FINALLY...we got a bike for her! This was her "having a great first week of school" present! She wanted the purple princess bike, of course. She has a "bike rodeo" at school 19 Sept. and the Pre-K kids are leading the parade so it was time. :) She was pretty cautious, which I was really surprised about. Normally she has NO fear!

The "braking" concept took awhile to get. She kept putting her feet down instead of keeping them on the pedals and pushing back. BUT she got it! :)

I don't think the training wheels will be coming off anytime soon...but she's got the basic concept now! It's still too hot to be out too long during the day and by the time it cools off at night, it's bedtime. She is still pretty cautious which, is fine because I have a feeling before long she will be flying down the streets! :)

Faster, Faster!

Ana's first time tubbing! She was CRAZY! We were at my aunt and uncles lake house last weekend and had a very relaxing (besides the tubbing) times. Everything started off smooth and calm... Then I'm watching and Ana has HUGE smiles and Marc seems stressed...
Finally, We pull them in and Ana is ALL smiles and Marc just kept saying she had a great time but gave me "the eyes" that he was sweatin it!

She got on the boat and said she wanted to do it again...faster!

First Day of Pre-K!

WHAT AN EXCITING DAY!!! Ana started Preschool today at Buckner Fanning Christian School. I took a little bit to wake her this morning at 6:30...she kept pulling the covers back over her head and telling me it was "too late mommy"....kinda funny! But then she rallied and was ready to go.

This is her school uniform. Very cute and comfy! However, her skort is too big EVEN AFTER SENDING IT BACK FOR THE SMALLEST SIZE POSSIBLE...she just has no booty!

This is in her classroom. She will be going on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:00 to 3:10...I know...long days! BUT she did great at those all day camps this summer so I'm hoping she can hang! I hope to be subbing all three days either through her school or the district we live in. I've signed up to be "Room Mom" too so I'm sure I'll keep busy volunteering too!

She went straight to her chair and said, "Love You Mommy...Bye Bye". SO good and so happy!

And this is her teacher, Ms. Amy. SWEETEST lady who I think will be wonderful. So, then I left and held it together until I got to my car! :) The joys of being a mommy!!! When I picked her up today, Amy said she did great, "but likes to do her own thing"...is that code for STUBBORN? :)We talked for a good 30 mins. and I think this is going to be an excellent year for Ms. Ana!!

First Day of School

Olympics

GO WORLD!

If you are wondering where I have been for the last couple of weeks...I was OBSESSED with the Olympics! Marc and I love them. We recorded them all day and would watch them all night. I have been exhausted but it was worth it!

Just watching those athletes and the way they push themselves physically and mentally is just amazing. They inspire me and I have so much appreciation for all they do. I swear EVERY TIME our national anthem was played I would get FILLED with pride and just get tingles all over!

The fact that they were in China was just a crazy feeling too. Being that we were there this time last year just made it even more familiar and special.

I love that the world comes together and puts aside all the "political dramas" to just be proud of their countries and everyone respects their abilities and talents!

Outside of the swimming, gymnastics, beach volleyball (my favorites) I LOVED all the visa commercials! Just a FUN two weeks and now it's time to get back to our regular routine and get some sleep!
