Mother's Day

Mother's Day was WONDERFUL! We went to a new church...STILL trying to find a good church for us, but I think we might have found it! We will see how the next couple of Sundays go. And after church Marc had made reservations for us at Annie's Tea Room. It was where I had my BRIDAL luncheon almost 11 years ago! SO yummy and fun!

Ana and Marc got me the COOLEST gift too. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the edges of brownies. I will eat all around the brownie pan and leave the inside for them. BUT, they found me THIS "edge brownie pan". I had never heard of this and I have to say it's hard for Marc to come up with something I haven't seen or heard of. Then HE made me brownies! SO sweet. Did you see the little server that came with it? Little kitchen gadgets are so fun. :)

But BETTER than edge brownie pans is the fact that we have had Ana for two years! She came home with us the day before Mother's Day 2 years ago! I love that "Gotcha Day" is always around Mother's Day!

High School Memories!

Kristy is a friend of mine from Leavenworth, Kansas HS days and she was in town from Georgia last week for a business trip! It has been YEARS since we have seen each other and we just picked up where we left off! This was the first time she had met Ms. Banana!

Kristy brought us two bottles of wine from Georgia and the plan was to only drink one of them, but after many memories and stories, the second was opened as well! We laughed all night and finally got to bed three hours before she had to leave for her flight! But no worries, we are somewhat responsible adults and she made it home safe and sound! Thanks Kristy for a fun visit!

Gymnastics Gold

Last week I got to watch Ana's practice! Normally they don't letcha watch so I was SO excited to see what she could do! I was amazed. They have the kids doing a "circuit" where they just go from one thing to the next (about 7 stations!) ALL BY THEMSELVES and SO organized. Her coach just takes turns helping each kid and they have a blast!

She got the bar! Now it was time for "swinging monkey"...got that one down...

Perfect 10!

If she does well and listens to her coach I let her play on the piano (which is in another area of the Youth Center) and she cracks up every time. Yes, I'm sure piano lessons are in the future!
