Boomershine Visit

The Boomershine's are great friends of ours who live in Ohio. They came down to visit us and have a wild and crazy time here in San Antonio! Jana, Dylan, and Alexis on the Riverwalk

Marc's 35th Birthday

Marc's birthday just happened to be on Father's Day this year. So the entire weekend was JUST FOR MARC! :) Anything he wanted, that's what we did! Started with Breakfast in Bed. He likes one of my families favorites called "Hole in the Middle" so that is what he and Ana had. Then off to church!

Then he wanted his feet rubbed and cleaned up so I did pedicures for Ana and Marc.

He goes back and forth every year between carrot cake and this cake...chocolate chip zucchini cake. Yep...it DOES have zucchini in it! :)

THEN we went to a baseball game with my aunt and uncle. The San Antonio Missions won!

Father's Day Camping

Marc and Ana have a favorite book that they like to read called, "Just Me and My Dad" by Mercer Meyer. It's a story about camping and BOTH of them always say they want to go camping together. SO, I decided to make that happen for them...in our backyard! :)

One of our staples for a camping dinner is chili dogs! We got ALL our camping toys out including the stove and made dinner.

The Jackson's Visit

My mom's cousin, Steve, and his family came to San Antonio for a wedding and stayed with us and it was a wonderful visit! They live in CT and it's been a couple of years since we have seen them! Nancy is an Interior Designer and she helped me with curtians (that one in the picture is one that we made together). They are THINKING about moving to Texas so that would be GREAT!

To the Coast!

Marc went cross country with his class two weekends ago so Ana and I went to the coast with the Dury's! They have a family beach house about 2.5 hrs away and we had a FUN weekend! Banana and John Baylor making...buckets of sand and water! :)

THEN John Baylor and Ana FALL ASLEEP as the boat is roaring across the water! She NEVER "relaxes" let alone...falls asleep! These two are just too cute together! When they are 16 we won't encourage this much bonding time! :)

New Family Member...FLIPPER

Gammy (Marc's mom), got Ana "Flipper" for Gotcha Day. Ana loved to watch the Betta fish in a shop when we lived in Korea so Sandy surprised her with her very own. She got to pick him out as well as the tank and it's accessories. She still loves purple and blue. And Flipper is a cool fish! However, his first 24 hours in our family was tough. I had given Ana the lecture about how fish need water and if they don't have water, it hurts them. AND that she had to feed him WITH me or Marc...well sure enough temptation took over and I came to check on him and he was on the floor and water was everywhere! After MUCH hysteria, I got the fish in his tank and he was alive amazingly enough! We joke that since he's Ana's...of course he's a fighter! He is doing well and even seems to respond to our voices!
