NFL Football...Texans VS Bengals!

This last weekend we went to Houston to watch the Texans beat up on the Bengals. It was the first NFL game for all of us and it was fun! My college friends have season tickets and know how to make game days an event!

We tailgated for three hours prior to game time! Everyone did...there were tents, grills, music, and dancing EVERYWHERE!

However, Ana was our entertainment! George (behind Ana) was our grill master for the day. He has a special tailgating grill that attaches to the car...(everyone scratch and grunt now)!

Then onto the game!!! Go Texans!

The deal was at half time we changed Ana's jersey out!! This is my roommate from college, Marina! It has been so fun to be back in TX and play with all my friends and again!!

Texans 35 Bengals 6...but the Bengals at least had their two cutest fans there!

Brad Paisley and Jewel Concert!

Last weekend (20 Oct) we went to this concert! The road manager for Jewel had called Marc's squadron and asked for a ride in the T-6. One of Marc's jobs for the squadron is to coordinate rides for people and he made it happen for this guy. As a thank you, the guy hooked up the squadron with kickin' tickets and back stage passes to meet Jewel!

Marc's dad was still in town from Grandparents Day/Ana's birthday and he got to go too!!

They had a "wine and cheese" party for us backstage and this is when we met Jewel!

Yes...they were really that close to us! We were on the floor and could reach up on the stage and touch them if we wanted....to go to jail! :)

But Brad (yes, we are on first name terms now...HA!!)was so excited to sing to me and did an amazing job!!! The concert ended at 11:15ish and I was choppin at the bit to get home to relieve the sitter...so we left right away. WELL...the next day we had a squadron wives meeting and they tell that they got to MEET BRAD AS WELL after the concert!! That's okay, I saw Brad wink at ME during the concert...I didn't need anything more! :) FUN FUN NIGHT!!!

Happy Birthday to ME!

My birthday was 12 Oct. (day before Ana's) and I turned 34. We had gotten up and gone to church and brunch. Brunch was at my favorite Tea Room here in SA and it has a bunch of "cutzie stores" in the area and Marc said we couldn't shop because we had to get home. STRANGE I thought because it's MY birthday and shopping is my thing. BUT, I didn't argue and we all piled in the car and went home. After we got home a friend of mine shows up at the door and tells me she is taking me away for the night! Marc handed me a suitcase and a home made certificate for an evening at a B&B Spa with two of my friends!! SURPRISE! SO off I went for a fabulous evening of wine and 1.5hr spa package with good friends!! Yes, Marc did pack everything I needed too!

This B&B was a ranch in the Hill Country of Texas and it was the most peaceful, beautiful place! I got an amazing head and body massage to the level of falling asleep from being SOOOO relaxed. We found a FABULOUS little hole in the wall restaurant in Welfare, TX population 10 people! We sat outside under the stars listening to a local band and closed down the place with great non interrupted adult conversations! :) Then back to our "house" for wine and more girl talk! Yes, I have a good good life, an amazing husband, and the sweetest friends ever!! Thank you all!!!

Grandparent's Day

Ana's school had Grandparent's Day on Friday. ALL FOUR of her Grandparents came from out of state to be with her. VERY SPECIAL and she was SOOOO happy to see them!
